The next big thing with WordPress is Ecommerce plugins that can handle big sites. Right now there are some solid plugins but most can’t handle things Magento can. Here are some of what I think to be 3 solid plugins.
Jigoshop is an eCommerce plugin for WordPress developed by professionals with years of experience delivering online shops for global brands.
WP e-Commerce is a free bolt-on shopping cart that lets customers buy your products, services and digital downloads online. It is really easy to setup, you don’t need any programming skills. It supports all major payment options like PayPal and Google Checkout. You can also use your own HTML and CSS to have complete control over the outlook of your online store.
The Cart66 WordPress e-commerce plugin makes selling easier than ever before. With Cart66 you can sell electronics, digital downloads, videos, music, web hosting, legal services, collect membership fees, and more.
My developer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on several websites for about a year and am nervous about switching to another platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it? Any kind of help would be really appreciated!
Nice overview. WooThemes nabbed two engineers from Jigo and created the WooCommerce plugin, which I believe is free to implement. It’s definitely worth taking a look.
Yea I have checked it out recently. Very solid.. I will be updating my blog and site soon I will make sure to make an updated eCommerce plugin post!
